50+Digital’s feed is now part of Blogs on Demand, a very interesting syndicated newfeed product published by Newstex LLC. We’re excited about joining Blogs on Demand, because our posts now will start surfacing in many of the top news databases, such as Lexis-Nexis.

In news syndication and licensing, there’s always been a viable niche for middleman aggregators such as Newstex. These are companies that take the time and trouble to aggregate feeds from hundreds of niche publications, licensing them in turn to the big legacy databases, such as Lexis, Factiva and EBSCO. It’s no surprise, then, that Newstex is the brainchild of Steve Ellis and Larry Schwartz, both veterans of Comtex News Network–an established, earlier-generation middleman aggregator. So now, blog posts can turn up in Lexis-Nexis searches right alongside the New York Times.
