WATCH: Conducting your way to health

Maestro David Dworkin’s second act still involves conducting. At age 74, he’s training health coordinators and fitness trainers in a low impact exercise program for seniors called Conductorcise–a combination of symphony performance, music lesson and aerobics workout. Dworkin has led orchestras across America and abroad, and served as Conductor and Artistic Consultant of three PBS Television documentaries; Conductorcise spokesman Tom Mann says the program “relieves stress, builds aerobic stamina, and sheds unwanted pounds . . . all while you enjoy the rush of leading a symphony orchestra.” Dworkin was featured recently on NBC’s Today show:
